Hammam

To destress and detox, there is no better way than to visit a traditional Moroccan steam bath, a hammam, and have a deeply relaxing massage or rub-down. The Hammam is a traditional Moroccan steam room. Under the marble floors, walls, and benches run pipes with steaming water, raising the temperature of the marble. Water splashed on to the marble fills the air with mist and steam. Guests often combine a visit to the hammam, a truly cleansing experience, with a visit to our spa for a relaxing and energising massage or other luxurious treatments, you will be spoilt for choice.

The tradition of the hammam includes a typical massage “beldi” with Moroccan black soap in a steam room. This cleansing and relaxation technique is still used frequently by Moroccans, even in this modern day and age.

After the Beldi rub-down, what better thing to do than have a nice long soak in the jacuzzi. Feel the water jet around you, and relax and contemplate the beauty of the room, with its arches and domed ceiling, marble floors, and the gentle scent of rose petals...
